Loughborough Canal practice matches

both matches over the last two weeks have been brilliant the first practice match we had made a few pegging issues but in our defence it was dropped on us but the second turned out to be a cracker
we often talk about gaps and if you leave a big enough gap fish will hide up in them. Making end pegs boss which happened in the first match
catches like this 4kg 200g was only good enough for a section win
these are the boards from the first match and you can see that 85% of the weights come from end pegs
as you can see a couple of sections didn't fish as well with every peg in but end pegs caught more
so bring in two pegs miss a peg was the only option as we couldnt get a spare peg either side .The differents is incredable with smaller gaps everyone had more bites and fish . Those that did it right caught a lot more fish bring in a lot of caster fish as well .but again anglers let us down and a few had big gaps but on the whole it fished much better
Ben Roberts had drawn next to me and even a few Tench had a go
Ben went on to win the section
