Walked around it this morning, as I often do (but don't fish).
Last time I fished it was probably 4 yrs plus ago. At that time there were a lot of decent sized roach (Tk !), may still be, but hardly fished for.

last time i fished it (which was a few years ago) if you drew certain pegs on the golf course side you were advised to put your brolly up because the white things coming out of the sky weren't hail stones

Can I suggest f1's count on Saturday? There is such a head of F1's in this lake that feed on any bait ,that we could quite feasibly see someone catch all f1's on their silver rigs yet not weigh in on the club match.
What about one net for silvers, one for f1's - nets weighed individually and our top 10/15 silver net weights go against Teepots team in the silvers match and the two nets count for the cashmores results.
Whilst it's a challenge to catch 'silvers', I'd feel sorry for someone sitting on a nest of f1's yet having to chuck them all back and coming away with no individual/ team points.
Thoughts?

Personally disagree ........
a) The original invite from Herbie was to fish a silvers match which the members voted for (well those who bothered to vote)
b) It’s been suggested to me by a club member who I take to be an authority on the subject that ‘additional/different’ bait requirements are needed between a silvers match and a F1s included match – what happens if some members only have ‘silver’s bait’ on Saturday?
c) Who’s doing the weighing in? Can see complications and possible errors arising keeping additional sets of weights
d) What the crappity smack is a F1? I personally aint got a clue what the difference between a F1 and another crap is – can see disputes/arguments arising at the weigh in over the ‘identity’ of fish – or fish being out of the water for longer than necessary whilst they are ‘sorted’ into what counted and what didn’t
e) Individual/team points. Could see some merit in that point – that’s if all members entered into ‘the spirit of things’ and bothered about individual and team points throughout the season - rather than picking and choosing which matches they bother to fish and what they don’t, as what happens now.......as members they have no interest in their points tally or their team colleagues
f) Some members experience dry nets on our matches irrespective of the venue – if they are ‘unfortunate’ to catch a net of carp and no silvers, at least they’ve seen some action. After all they could catch all carp and no F1s or silvers with the same result.
Can see Herbie inviting us along again...............
