Oxford WL Practice

30 anglers fished the Oxford winter league practice match on a very clear Oxford canal in the centre of town. Apart from the clear canal the anglers had to deal with rafts of leaves and twigs brought down by last weeks high winds. Despite all this the canal fished relatively well.
1st Colin Wainwright - Sensas A4 - 11lb 14oz. Colin drew on the Aristotle lane pound and had a good net of skimmers on punch bread and perch on worm both fished done the centre of the canal.2nd Paul Passmore - Devizes - 10lb 13oz. Paul drew towards Walton Well road and had 5 good perch on worm and backed this up with roach on bloodworm over joker
3rd Tony Hobbs - Drennan Banbury Gunsmiths - 7lb 15oz. Tony drew top end peg on St Edwards School and had all perch on worm.
4th Alex Clements - Bordon angling centre - 6lb 8oz
5th John Beesley - Drennan Banbury Gunsmiths - 6lb 1oz
