WHITE ACRES SILVERFISH FESTIVAL day three

It’s already time for the Winter Garbolino 2013, our last festival of the year!

The draw was on Saturday night which gave everyone a chance to catch up over a few drinks and then get some practising done on the Sunday. All the anglers are in great spirits and looking forward to a great week at WhiteAcres! The weather is holding up nicely at the moment with no rain forecast but the temperature due to drop by the end of the week!

Day One

'A' section - Trelawney
First on the lake today was Kian Wardle on Peg 17, he had a weight of 73lb 4oz and caught at 16 metres using maggot over groundbait. Second was Jarrad Smith, he fished the long pole using maggot and groundbait from peg 6 and weighed in 41lb 6oz. Third was Nathan Hughes on peg 21, he fished the short pole with caster and had a weight of 39lb 5oz.

'B' section - Jenny's
Andy Dare won the lake today with a weight of 62lb 5oz. He fished at 14.5 metres using corn and also at 6 metres with groundbait from Peg 6. Second was Lee Klinchuck, he was on Peg 18, he fished the waggler and weighed in 51lb 12oz. Mark Murdoch on peg 7 was third, he fished the long pole using corn on and had a weight of 48lb 2oz.

'C' Section - Pollawyn
Aaron Morton was first today, he was on Peg 20 and weighed in 47lb 0oz fishing the long pole using maggot and groundbait. Second was Andy Renton on Peg 32, he caught at 7 and 13 metres with groundbait and had a weight of 37lb 0oz. Wayne Swinscoe was third, he fished with caster and worms at 5 metres and weighed in 28lb 12oz from peg 30..

'D' section - Sycamore/Python
Mark Harper won the lake today from peg 9 (Python), he fished at 13 metres with maggot and groundbait, he also caught using casters down the edge and had a weight of 38lb 15oz. Second was Les Thompson, he fished at 13 metres using groundbait and also worms and casters from peg 4 (Scyamore) and weighed in 36lb 7oz. Tom Scholey was third, he was on peg 15 (Python), he fished the long pole with corn had a weight of 30lb 2oz.

'E' section - Twin Oaks
Jon Arthur won the lake today with a weight of 60lb 0oz, he was on peg 27 and caught at 12 metres using maggot over groundbait. Second was Trevor Vernalls, he was on peg 24 and fished at 14.5 metres with maggot and groundbait and also at 5 metres down the edge and he had a weight of 45lb 10oz. Third was Ian Didcote, he weighed in 43lb 0oz and fished from peg 31.

'A' section - Jennys
Nathan Hughes won the lake today with a weight of 70lb 8oz, he was on peg 3 and caught on the waggler with corn fishing out level with the island. Second was Kian Wardle on peg 7, he fished with corn at 16 metres and weighed in 48lb 6oz. Jarrad Smith was third, he fished corn on the pole from peg 6 and had a weight of 48lb 4oz.

Second was Lee Taylor, he fished the pole with worm over groundbait from peg 23 and had a weight of 28lb 5oz. Lee Klimchuck was third, he weighed in 28lb 3oz fishing from peg 28 and caught with caster shallow and also with maggot and groundbait.

'C' Section - Sycamore/Python
Andy Renton was first today, he was on Peg 4 (Sycamore) and weighed in 33lb 14oz fishing caster shallow and also maggot and groundbait. Second was Paul Yates on Peg 9 (Sycamore), he caught at 13 metres with maggot and groundbait and had a weight of 30lb 2oz. Wayne Swinscoe was third, he fished the long pole with corn and also at 13 metres using caster and groundbait and weighed in 27lb 0oz from peg 14 (Python).

First on the lake was Rob Perkins, he was on peg 24 and weighed in 55lb 10oz fishing caster down the edge. Mark Harper was second, he caught at 5 metres with groundbait and also at 13 metres. Mark was on peg 8 and weighed in 46lb 12oz. Adam Wakelin was third, he was on peg 25 and caught using maggot and groundbait, with a weight of 31lb 4oz.

Paul Ward was third on the lake, he fished at 13 metres with groundbait and worm, weighing in 34lb 13oz from peg 21.

Day Three

'A' section - Pollawyn
First on the lake today was Clint Elliott, he was on peg 23 and weighed in 39lb 13oz. Clint fished at 14.5 metres with chopped worm and caster. Second was Cameron Hughes on peg 13, he fished at 13 metres shallow using caster and had a weight of 36lb 8oz. Stewart Lister was third, he caught skimmers and roach shallow and also at 12.5 metres with dead maggot and groundbait. Stewart was on peg 25 and weighed in 26lb 13oz.

'B' section - Sycamore/ Python
Lee Klinchuck won the lake from peg 5 Sycamore, he fished with caster shallow, weighing in 37lb 5oz and caught roach. Lee Taylor was second, he caught with corn over groundbait and had a weight of 35lb 2oz fishing from peg 15 Python. Third was Simon Fry, he was on peg 15 Sycamore and weighed in 29lb 9oz. Simon caught roach with caster, shallow.

'C' Section - Twin Oaks
Adam Rooney was first on the lake, he caught down the edge at 14.5 metres with caster and maggot, he was on peg 24 and weighed in 57lb 6oz. Tim Rowe was second, he was on peg 8 and weighed in 39lb 6oz and caught at 11 metres with dead maggot and groundbait. Third was Wayne Swinscoe, he fished at 13 metres with groundbait, maggot and pinkie and also with caster. He weighed in 35lb 10oz from peg 33.

'D' section - Trelawney
First place was Tom Scholey on peg 24, he weighed in 39lb 3oz, fishing the long pole with worm and also down the edge with caster. Second was Chris Hancock, he was on peg 12 and fished the long pole with maggot and groundbait, weighing in 36lb 14oz. Jason Lebosquet was third, he was on peg 6 and weighed in 30lb 10oz. Jason caught using caster and maggot on the short pole.

Lee Edwards won the lake today, he caught with casters short and also on the long pole with corn. Lee had a weight of 59lb 15oz fishing from peg 7. Second was Jon Arthur, he was on peg 19 and caught roach and skimmers with caster and also at 16 metres with corn, weighing in 47lb 11oz. Ryan Seymore was third, he was on peg 4, he fished with corn at 16 metres and with groundbait at 11 metres and weighed in 47lb 7oz.
