28 anglers fished one of the best matches seen on the Thames on the Abingdon borough waters. 24 anglers had double figures and 7 of these had more than 20lb. The river is still hardly moving and clear but this did not stop the roach, skimmers and perch going on a feeding frenzy.
1st Simon Willsmore - Drennan - 24lb 10oz. Simon drew upstream of the bridge opposite the swimming pool and had roach and skimmers on pole and maggot over groundbait.
2nd Carl Eland - Drennan Banbury Gunsmiths - 23lb 13oz. Carl drew downstream opposite the sailing club and had quaility roach to 1lb and skimmers on pole and maggot over groundbait.
3rd Paul Passmore - Devizes - 23lb 2oz. Paul drew in the bay below the bridge and had quality perch on chop worm and roach on maggot.
4th = Paul Glenfield - Drennan Banbury Gunsmiths - 21lb 15oz
4th = Darren Davis - Drennan - 21lb 15oz
Pairs
1st Simon Willsmore and Darren Davis - 3pts
