Personally I think £25 is over the top for an individual canal match but based on that my payout with 170 fishing (balance sheet) would be as follows.
Cash in 170 x £25 = £4250
Cash out peg fees £170 x £3 = £510
34 sections of 5 @ £50 = £1700
First £600
Second £465
Third £350
Fourth £250
Fifth £150
Sixth £125
Seventh £100
Cost to run match Nil
TOTAL CASH OUT £4250
Is this a rip-off???

no idea Joff. The lad who won it, Marc Ellement, fishes for Ted Carter Preston and he was on the Wigan flyer on Sunday, so I assume that's where he told people what he'd picked up.

Might of spoke too soon
looking at the pools sheet for Div1 why have they had
£302.00OUT OF THE POOLS PLUS 56X £190.00 entrance fee where's that going ok some has to cover the cost of the HQ, signs but £10.640.00 plus the £1,190.00 from the individual national
so in one week the trust have taken off the members a staggering £11,830.00surely questions need ASKING

anglers must realise whats going on surley its time to speakout !!!

I'm not a member Joff - I refused to rejoin when I saw what game they were playing a couple of years ago. This is exactly what I suspected was going to happen; the membership numbers have never met what they envisaged, so it's 'claw back' time to get as much as they can from the softest targets - match anglers who appear to be prepared to pay whatever is asked of them and do nothing about it.
Don't anglers understand that a collective 'NO - ENOUGH IS ENOUGH' will have more effect than just coughing up the money and mumbling words of disapproval later? Until there is some coordinated response to this, it will continue to happen - one or two teams voicing objections will make no difference at all; it needs to be a collective response.
I'm a member of two affiliated angling associations - a percentage of subs for each goes to the AT, so why am I forced to be an individual member to fish AT competitions? I've said it before & I'll say it again - the Angling Trust are ripping-off individual match anglers by effectively 'doubling-up' their fees to allow them to fish. They keep telling everyone who will listen that they're the voice of UK anglers, yet they're clearly not if the membership numbers are to be believed as a percentage of rod licence holders.

Also with the Div2 33 teams fished all paid £190.00 enterance fee= £6,270.00again the HQ and some admin but not to the value of£6,270.00 it's simply crazy how anglers will pay knowing this amount of money is being taken !Taken where though it's not invested back into our sport we don't even have a National competition water to hold world championships yet the A/TS are based on what could be the elite venue holme pierrepont
nothing is given the our WORLD NUMBER ONE NATIONAL TEAM thank god for Peter Drennan and sensas yet they advertise the fact we are number 1 in the world
its beyond me the country is in recession competitions are run all over the country with pools of £12 £15 or £20 and payout far more
your right they have had every competitors pants down for the last few years and before that
it can't carry on we want to know where this money goes

I think the AT should use some of this money to pay for the England Ladies , Veterans and Disabled to attend World Championships !
At the moment they all pay for themself.
I don't know if the AT delegates that attend these matches have to pay out of there own pockets or even claim any expenses
