James Dent top individual
Ultimate Barnsley Blacks have won the first ever Angling Trust Commercial National.
The event, which was contested by 18 teams of ten was fished across Garbolino Lindholme Lakes, Hayfield Lakes and Daiwa Hallcroft Fishery.
Barnsley won the event by over 100 kilos – and also boasted the individual winner in the shape of James Dent, who weighed 98 kilos from the end peg on Moat Pool at Daiwa Hallcroft fishery.
Barnsley’s captain, Glen Lawrence was delighted when he found out that his team had won: “I haven’t fished myself today, but it’s been awesome performance from the lads.
Young James Dent has once again proved that he is one of the UK’s top young angling talents, and the rest of the lads have done brilliantly as well.
A big thank you to the Angling Trust for organising the event, and Neil Grantham of Garbolino Lindholme for sponsoring it.
Runners up on the day were
Matrix Dynamite Trentmen
Team Garbolino took third spot
Regarding 2014:
