Is this place too far for you lot.
http://www.sumnersponds.co.uk/faci.htm
95 miles and nearly 2 hours from Milton Keynes
78 miles and 1 hour 40 mins from Southend
52 miles and 1 hour 10 mins from Dartford
If its OK for the majority I will make further investigations to availability. Tony and I have fished the main lake a few years ago and I have seen the Match Lake just after it was dug but have never fished it. It looks to have matured quite well and has a high stocking level and the fish have packed on weight.
Your thoughts please gentlemen ( and Al
)

Dave
I have a rule that if the travelling time to get there and back is longer than I spend at a venue I will not travel.
I have fished in Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Wakefield and Leeds before so a day on the coast should not be too bad.

I can confirm from personal experience that they do a very nice breakfast. Unfortunately they dont open until 8.30.
There is also a very good pub only 300 yards from the farm entrance.

Would suit me a Jim nicely to have one of our venues a bit nearer to Surrey
The local match lads from round here have fished the match lake pretty much since it was created and after a typically slowish start (stockies) the weights and the size of individual fish have come on a bundle. Dont know if its carp all the way - sounds like a candidate for a fact finding mission sometime ::). I dont know if they do matches on the main (caravan) lake - but its one I've enjoyed in the past with a nice variety of fish incl good perch chub and bream. As for brekkie we could do a 'Puddledock' and tackle up before eating.

Clearly MK is very close to the centre of the universe
- or more likely the MK lads are super flexible about where they contest the nugget.

4 miles south west of Horsham.
Search for Barns Green on Google maps.

I agree with Tony, it would make a change going somewhere just 40 mins away (as long as Clive's swim fishes well otherwise he will want to fill it in) - just make it a date when I'm free.

Good point Al - its so long since I fished lake 2 that I'd forgotten about the barbel - and all this time they've been busy growing

I would join you but the car isnt being fixed until Wednesday. Im down to my last 3 gallon of pellet and need a stock up so it would seem that a visit to the offsite Tesco express venue for brekkie and pellet followed by a day in the Tesco main store is in order.
