Grudge match / matches - get together

What's your views on a one off match or a couple of matches at each end between the Stainy Muppets, Joff's Leicester Mutants and Dazzla's England superstars, at some stage through the year??? Just a thought, may not be possible to arrange or the interest to make it happen?

Format, Date... Sunday 23rd June 2013..
The Fishing.. Wyrley & Essington Canal. Draw at 9.00am. Fishing 10.00am - 3.00pm. Draw location to be decided.
Then back to Harrisons club for the results, a beer, a natter and maybe a BBQ (been worked on)
Last years Winner was Manny with 16lb 07oz with backup weights of 9lb, 6lb, 5lb and 4lb weights

I would like a go at this one joff, is it a narrow and shallow canal and are there short walks, I don't mind a walk if its a good tow path. Plus I would stop over night in a local pub to rough a few of you up. TALLMAN. GIVE ME THE DEPTH AND THE WIDTH OF IT JOFF. PLEASE GARY

Trent and Misery is identical to chesy at Retford Gaz, only the fishing is 10 times worse

Honestly have no idea, been a few years since there was one on there as far as I am aware so could well be. Would a been good to have a get together but I cant make this one, I've booked for Turkey. Hope rest of you can get and its a good day

take a look at the picture i'd say that's the widest part of the canal and if you you take a look at the years before which is on the Eddington part i think which is a little narrower
fish wise its a big fish canal tench bream skimmers and carp if they feed but its quite easy to get a weight of silvers rudd roach and perch 8 to 10lb
again depends on the weather
its a great day out just to enjoy fishing and meet the members not forgetting the banter and photos
we all have commitments i should be on the tidal Trent along with bicko but we wouldn't miss this match
its good to give something back into the sport

the canal can be shallow in parts but the middle is surprisingly deeper 5 to 6 ft
