Congleton Charity Open
Posted: April 15th, 2013, 8:32 pm
Seventy seven anglers turned out on the Macclesfield Canal in and around Congleton, in aid of the Shannon Bradshaw Trust, a charity for Children with life threatening conditions,
The weather conditions were the best we have had for some time , but the water tempreture was still well down, for the time of year, and the fishing was a little harder than the norm.
having said that there were a few 3lb+ section places and 2lb+ sections , and non were won with under a pound.
The day got of to a great start with a top breakfast then meeting and chating with friends that had booked on,
This was a great team effort of combined anglers, who love this match and want it to continue, for us all in the future .
Myself, Craig Richie, Phil Cross, Dave McCall, Alan Round, got the day of to a Tee, with a rapid draw process and Scales and board allocation, every one played there part.
Pegging was tops this year, thanks to Craig & Phil, who also did all the maps for everyone , a massive thanks to you all Including Warrington A.A, & Bidulph Victoria who donated the peg fees raising £150 for the charity.
