In case you missed the questions here is what happened...

Q. Woodhouse - how much do you feed(pellets) at the start of a match on F1 venues?
A. diddy - usually feed half a big pot and then chuck the feeder for the first 30mins.

Q. Woodhouse - how long before you start loose feeding over the top in summer ?
A. diddy - 5mins if you think they will be shallow. bit longer if on deck.

Q. Woodhouse - with your initial feed to you try and make a splash?
A. diddy - no. if its red hot i wud'nt pot just ping from the start!

Q. Woodhouse - and start shallow?
A. diddy - depends how many are moving, go on feeder and then they get chance to settle down.
Woodhouse - thanks Ian....I have to go out and get drunk.

Q. TK- How regular do you feed over the top (or from the off if hot) and in what sort of quantity - what dictates this? Thanks
A. diddy - 6-10 pellets freqence depends on reaction from fish ie. feeding less produces more bites.

Q. TK - Thanks - what make of pellet do you use for hooker and feed? And sizes?
A. diddy - ringers in 4-6mm vde rs elites in same sizes and feed pellets depends on fishery rules if i can use my own its either carpstim(vde) or prototype baitech pellets.

Q. TK - Will you feed more than one pellet line eg at larford (other than perhaps margins)?
A. diddy - have caught well at 5-6 mtrs b4 but can be hit and miss in cooler months

Q. TK - Ta again - what sort of rigs you using shallow and what lackie?
A. diddy - various ones to fish from 3ins deep down to 3ft garbolino bazzoka carp yellow or 10's latex thro 3.

Q. ridgeacre - Ive just started to make pellet wags, mates etc would you load em or shot them
A. diddy - both as each way of loading floats have there dayz. i like loaded personally.

Q. BUDGIE - Ian what brand of line do you use and hook pattern on comercials.
A. diddy - garbo line and depends on wot i'm fishing for ie.- size etc.

Q. Simple - Hello Ian, do you think the pressure effects fishing ?
A. diddy - simp yes the moon effects fishing alot especially roach. full moon is bad.

Q. budgie - Ian do you flavour your pellets
A. diddy - not really apart from sum vde liquid pellet glug on them b4 the start.

Q. TK - Ian do you flavour both feed and hookers?
A. diddy - usully only the feed pellets.

Q. budgie - how would you approach a venue you have not fished before, would you keep it simple or?
A. diddy - i try and get as much info on the venue as poss from locals, tackle shops then if poss have a practise or at least a walk round.

Q. TK - Do you ever dye your pellets ?
A. diddy - no the only thing i dye is meat and groundbait.

Q. Daylewlia - canal rigs - shot / styls / stotz - what do you use ?
A. diddy - shot shot shot!!!!! 12' 13's all the way.

Q. budgie - Ian whats your favourite method of fishing.
A. diddy - long pole and bloodworm or long range waggler/slider fishing both with lots of gb.

Q. Teepot in person - Ian would you always fish a fishmeal based ground bait for silvers on a commercial.....or do you think a sweet one would work like on a not commercial
A. diddy - you used to be able to but now the best skimmer/bream venues are also carp venues and they get to see pellets and fishmeal everyday so fishing that way is now the way to go.

Q. budgie - do you have a fishing hero who you look upto.
A. diddy - use to be kim milsom as i use to travel with him and he was awesome. apart from that alan scotthorne and darren cox are two heros of mine.

Q. Simple - If you intended to fish shallow at say 10 meters, would you start by cupping in some pellets on the "all in" or would you just fire some out with your catty ?
A. diddy - catty matey.

Q. budgie - did you apply for any Fish O tickets Ian.
A. diddy - no mate never have, if i've got a spare weekend i may turn up at the venue for the no shows.

Q. Simple - when fishing in the margins do you fish dead depth or overdepth
A. diddy - on pellets dead depth, with most other bait fish an inch or two on.

Q. Teepot in person - do you tend to stick with patterns of floats you know Ian or do you buy them on fancy
A. diddy - always use floats you can see, confidence in a pattern is half the battle mate stick to a few and learn wot they do.

Q. TK - Ian - re on pellets dead depth, with most other bait fish an inch or two on.  -----  why the depth change in the margins with baits ?
A. diddy - i fish pellets dead depth everywhere. margins are usually shallow and attract big fish which WANT TO FEED fishing slightly over depth gives them a chance to take the bait properly.

Q.Teepot in person - when paste fishing...do you use shot or just the weight of the paste
A. diddy - most of the time NO SHOT DOWN THE LINE AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Q. Simple - what hooks do you use for paste fishing ?
A. diddy - either mustad method feeder hooks or 911's

Q. Teepot in person - how do you start a paste swim...... i tend to just use paste and keep letting it come of ..do you fish paste over pellet
A. diddy - mostly start with half a pot of wet pellets and a few balls of pellet paste. then its fed by the paste wen fishing.

Q. TK - If shallow on the pellet - say foot deep - do you have any shot 'down' the line? And how do you 'lay' in? How long before you lift and lay back in if no response?
A. diddy - thats a hard question to ansa tk, each day is different, trying each way gives you the best way to do it. usually have small bulk down below half way but sumtimes spread shot and sum times no shot!! got to experiment pal.

Q. budgie - how did you get into fishing, and how long have you been competing in opens
A. diddy -  i'm 32 now and have been fishin opens since i was 13.

Q. Daylewlia - whats the best fishing advice/tip you've been given and whats the best tip/advice you would give ?
A. diddy - fail to prepare and prepare to fail. Applies to both.

Q. Justin case - i used to fish the matches Kim was on on the glouster,   I m recently back in the game  and find the changes over the last 10 yrs daunting lines rated by diameter  hooks being used that would suit the north sea,  this sport was always about preperation and presentation,  how much time do you dedicate a week to your fishing ?
A. diddy - use to be around 30hrs a week but lately its down to around 20 as i have a 3 yr old girl that wants all of daddys time.

Q. Justin case - Here's a tricky one for you Ian, 10 years ago  you was 22 can you remember how you was fishing back then  ?  have the winning methods changed much ?
A. diddy - yeah was on the gloster canal and just started travelling with kim milsom! methods have ivolved since then but still use things i learnt back then to great effect now.

Q. Justin case - One last one from me,  elastics,   what are you currently using on the cuts  for say squat  and worm fishing
A. diddy - latex in 2-3's

Q. Tigerbay - Talking of GB on canals would you use it at all in this weather ? (except for punch fishing )
A. diddy -  if i was to use gb it wud be supermatch thro a flour sieve. and be carfull how you fed it.

A. Simple - regarding groundbaits, do you have a set recipe for say carp, i.e 1 bag of this and 1 bag of that or do you just keep it simple
A. diddy - simps yes i have set mixes for different things but they involve the same base ingredients just different ratios.

Q. Simple - did you experiment and found one that works and stuck to it ?
A. diddy -  pretty much. i have got alot of gb but most of the time i use 4-5 main types.
