It looks as the though the Congleton Round Table match on the Macc Canal will not go ahead this year.

It looks as the though the Congleton Round Table match on the Macc Canal will not go ahead this year.

We heard a rumour about this a few week back bill    shame if it is true as it has been a very well run and attended event for many years and the Macc canal has fished really well this winter.

Does anyone know why the match is not on?

Helen Chapell re the Round Table Charity match,
just waiting on a reply, and will keep you all posted. 

   I hope all is well with them .

If for what ever reason it wont be a round table match, I am willing to run this match at congleton, with hopefully the same draw headquarters,

and will enlist the help of Phil cross, & flagger ( Craig Richie ) who have the rights to some of the waters used 
if this helps.
I know it used to be run on the last sunday/Saturday of the old Close season,
  Any thoughts on this the match and dates will help to keep us all fishing this underated strech of canal


 

Murff , Warrington AA have the final round of the winter league on their congleton lengths of the macc canal on saturday 23rd march. There are also issues with a house owner on derwent drive.

Balls to the people in derwent drive we all pay road tax don't we theres no yellow lines there anywhere or restricted parking its once a year for agood cause, saturday would be better for me muff man

Just had an e mail from Helen,
it seems the round table charity match will no longer go ahead due to the fact that Bernie feels he has not had enough back room help with this , and its getting very tiring for him,
but they both thank us for all our support over the years
