I am just about to get back into fishing and was after some sound advice from people in the know ;)

I enjoy fishing the canal most and was just after some advice to get me back into the swing of things. Plus I've never discussed fishing the trent and mersey before so it would be nice too!

I live in rugeley and was wanting advice on potential good local stretches. As well as advice on how to fish them!

Thank you for any replies in advance. :)

Well, I actually live in slitting mill. just off the first corner as you approach it from the school. :) And yes that is a pain.
And I like to fish opposite the gardens on the stretch near st augistines/ chancel school. As ive seen a lady and son feeding the ducks from their garden and I think the fish mop up the remains, plus theres some overhanging bushes. :)
