Baden Hall, Match Pool.

We were supposed to go to Woodston manor yesterday but Tinky cancelled because he was scared of breaking his new pole.
So he arranged for us to go to Baden Hall on the match pool today!. Hard fishing is not the word!!!

Me, Tinky, Macko Jacko, Bob D and Colin  All got there itching to catch some fish but it was absolute shite.

I packed up after 2 and a half hours after only having one bite  Image So that's my first Dry net of 2008 then  Image

Everyone else caught at least one fish. Colin was first to catch. He had a Gudgeon on the squatt, that's how hard it was.
Bob then had a Gudgeon too.
Then Macko Jacko who had set up the feeder had a small carp followed by 3 more.
Tinky had one Barbel.
Well done to the Macko Kid who took two pound of us all  Image
Sprucey came up also to watch and take the yellow stream. My cheeks are still sore from laughing.

A VERY bad day made good with the banter  Image Image

isnt that the old match pool ? That pool is fished best with a feeder to the island. Its a good venue with some nice pools on it. I cant beleive you bottled it half way through. You should never bottle it, what would of happend if mr carpy felt peckish 5 min from the all out and was looking for your bait Image Image

Yes mate its the old match pool.
I had had enough. The wind was giving me a headache and yellow stream me off because when we got there it was like a mill pool until the wind changed direction  Image ::)

I looked at my rods last night too thinking "Shall I put them in"
ERROR lol  :-[

Although Macko Jacko couldn't have won without me......

I sat behind him and he had his first fish on, which came off. He reeled in to see a nice pigtail where his knot had come undone, he blamed his hook tier lol  Image
I tied him a new hook on properly and he landed every fish after that   :D

the tactic on that pool is in the summer = method feeder and in the winter either straight lead or a little maggy feeder or tiny method feeder all to the island. Theres loads of F1's in there aswell as propper carp, nice bream and barbel.

It probably wouldn't have made the slightest bit of difference. :P

Always fish to the last, there's always the chance of a mugging. ;)

So that's what's called "A BLANK" Image
:cheerleader :cheerleader Watch out, watch out, there's a Mugger about :cheerleader :cheerleader
