Yeah I fished Slapton a few times in WLs years ago. There used to be quite a lot of skimmers there; when you hooked them you had to manoevre them betweem the carp to get them out Image Image Image Image

Peg was/is called the Animal house. Not sure if the tree is still in the peg as it may have been removed.

spot on Chris - I even drew it once .... many years ago in the late 80s ....
had about 8 pound of skimmers, but lost 3 nil to the carp!!!

I even remember when it used to be solid with Roach, great big hemp fish on every peg (or so it seemed).

LOL i had the pleasure of the Animal house many years ago on a Hail league match ran by Steve Davis.
Caught 3 bream for 10lb but lost 5 carp Image.
Ps The match was fished before the days of powerful elastics Image Image

I only fished a number 5 Image Image
