after the weekend we have had a little trouble with  the boaters and anglers practicing ,from what Ive heard its 50/50 but i'm not sure i want a repeat as i was on the Burton league at the time .please remember we fish this canal week in and week out and really try to get on with the boaters so please any visitors please remember this
this weekend we will be fishing most of the pegs that will be in the semi final the canal is tea colour for this weekend so i will be pegging 160 down to 250 or 260 and the same for the practice match and most likely the semi final simply because there are no risks involved with boats mooring plus its a straight line apart from bridge holes and as fair as you can get it
the rest is up to you i don't want anglers on the banks the day before the matches and the water will be closed from the 18th of feb well this match length
day tickets from S A S angling supplies at £3.50 or £5 on the bank brian holmes [the bailiff]
will be down every day   Image Image

there are a few issures with the boaters normally we have two or three matches down there and they dont seam to mind that but because we have been down there a few times i think they are a bit cheesed off
what i'm hoping is we can keep our eyes on the pegs we are using as i have two lads that walk to work along the sections and boats don't seam to moor there
years back when we had a national on the soar and canal one boater cost us winning that national we ended up 3rd timmy linnal weighed ounces i just don't want that sort of come back mate Image

ok mate clear on that now.. boaters can be a pain if they don't like anglers.
I fear the worst with three worm matches in three weeks on the same pegs. Every ones in same boat tho i suppose. Image

Queenie if I put the boats in and then don't use them in the semi final I'd be hung Out to dry if I remember a certain team going mad and didn't turn up on the day because they couldn't practice on the pegs
This way the match length is in everyone's hands how they approach it put tones of bait in and flatten it or take there time it should handle it for me it's all about the weather .coloured water will always spread the fish out Sunday could be a really good match Image Image
