John still about and does bit now.Saw him few weeks ago early Dec with Adrian Marshal and Ian Harrington.
Brawling J.M. now likes the festivals at Stafford Moor.
They sound good and not so serious as White Acres.
Silvers one coming up next month..I must try to go.
Oh yes Julie his good lady behind with pole.

This was on a B & H festival..just trying to learn how to do it by J.M.
Taken outside the tackle shop opposite The Forum.
Great days those.Never caught much but great fun.
I recall in a late night session in the 'Killy' bar Mumford getting up and singing 'Maybe its because i am a Londoner'
and Big Kev up there as well.
Creep back to the shalet about 5am and get kit ready for match.

The tackle shop is still there. It is now Cloughbally Mill, it used to be Mullen's in those days he sold all sorts including maggots and washing machines.
There are large platforms now where they are fishing.
That concrete on the pic is crap, too shallow.
They call the section Sligo Road nowadays but I'm sure it went under another name years ago.
Where those trees are is the plush Ireland Waterways building.

WOC on the rebound.
Yes Sligo Road,opposite the Castle and Broadmeadow.
Remember Ian getting the 166lbs on the wall..?
This year,about 80 something.(memory gone now i am getting on a bit..hasbin) I on my first Benson & Hedges match drew opposite Forum on Irvine's Island..took us over in a boat.
The tackle shop was not Mark Theedom's then as Cloughbally Mill..he aquired it later than this.
I believe.Big Kev won this one with a fine 115lb..? last day weight on Cornergrade..got pic for u somewhere.
