About 24/5 years ago Banstead fishing the DFDS (cannot be sure of exact title) Final in Denmark.

or was it the Skanderborg?
I know that they qualified for that from a semi on the Avon at Stratford. That was one of the first matches that I fished for Black Horse. Needless to say - we didn't qualify!

Could have been Alex, spoke to Darren and He thought it was that DFDS thingy ! His said He thought He was 19 / 20 at the time !!!

whichever - like the Captain Morgan - they were all names for the NFA knockout weren't they?
If it was that Stratford semi .... I can remember in the run up to the match (it was autumn 91 I think) .... practising on the Manor Farm stretch and having a net of several chub and barbel on the stick (I was on the old weir peg). When we came to pack up, Polly came along and wanted to hold the barbel because he'd never caught one!

Fished that 'semi' on the Avon.Remember going to the racecourse on a practice and K.C. was a wizzard on waggler and chub fishing.Didn't win semi but qualified and went to Skandeborg..got results somewhere.
