Unfortunately yet again we had some no shows 5 in total this means we will open these places for anyone who wants to fish individually in the next round
With the first round madhouse taking entry money plus pools and the draw it takes a lot longer but without to much trouble everyone got away in good time
The canal still coloured yet a fair few fish were topping down the lengths ,it looked as if it would fish a little better than first expected
Nick moss Leicester SENSAS made the most of a good bream peg Nick had drawn peg1on the swing bridge and took skimmers and bream on bloodworm casters and worm ,nick fished 13metres a cross the canal and ended up with 7or 8 good skimmers for a total of 15lb 12oz 2nd spot went to Andy Beasley derby andy drew the flats just down from the boat pub andy fishing bloodworm and joker for most of the day and caught roach and perch for a total of 9lb7oz 3rd John shellard Leicester SENSAS again from the swing bridge area John has a bream and a chub close to 4lb plus a few bits mostly on bloodworm 4th place went to Dave perch QUorn as with 7lb2oz Dave was unlucky loosing a great big perch only to catch the very same fish about a hour later
With 16 sections of 5 we still paid the £40 section money
The lowest weight was 3lb9oz the rest were mostly over 4lb
I will post the full results tomorrow of the pairs
One thing a will say two pairs share the top spot with a creditable 7pts

my mistake 37 pairs fished i think its because on both sheets two anglers tide on weight this means in the kayos two or three might not of paid all the entance fee is there £740 just the pools were light sorry for this it won't happen again

Joff, much ice on the canal cocka?

not yet mate its the last canal to freeze but the way the weather is it looks like it will have some ice not thick but some
this means i won't be able to put the boats in this week if it happens

Stu naylor is now fishing with Chris marks andy taff has dropped out and i understand why now because andy taff had a disappointing first round i have allowed the points to stand if anyone has a problem with this please let me know

Joff, I'm not bothered about the entry fee.

Thanks for understanding, I just couldn't have handled that happening again. it aint the fishing side and not catching owt, ( I'm used to that lol ), cos that's just fishing, it happens, but having the day ruined by knobheads I can't deal with. knowing my luck i'd draw the peg where they all come out the alley and brick you lol.

funny that taff on Sunday a had a peg where the only spot on the far bank had been fished nowhere on the rest of the section had a peg opposite and every walker dog walker stop and looked at me fishing ,but right on top of the bank  some of us are blessed with good draws and then there is the other 90%
dont let it put you off boats unfortunately sunday is a normal day to them and are not going to stop what they normally do

not bothered about boats, the canals were built for them, they can do what they want and I used to live on one!! ,

Pity there aint any canal matches round here, cos there's some brilliant bits of canal

its the same old story taff if we fished the canals week in week out we wouldn't have half the trouble people would get used to it and find different routes around the canal how many times do you see dog walkers take one look and turn around its quite a few the same would happen to bikes and joggers but because we only fish it in the winter they have all of the summer to do what they like tell there friends and so on its not until you put a big match on the canal you start to think about parking and were do you park
Ive just been told if you park in staples for more than one hour its a £70 fine so that's another job we have to do .see if we can sweeten them up for Sunday parking

Joff, you need a medal, I couldn't be doing with all the hassle, I packed up orgainsing after 2 years lol, i needed more medication
