never mind the book - I'm still using a whisker kevlar 11-13 as my main river feeder rod ..... in fact (thanks to ebay) I now have 3!
Brilliant action - skimmers right through to double figure barbel.
First one I used was bag-up's on a Trent national in the late 80s when he coached our team. I drew Hoveringham .... he kindly loaned me the rod to hit the far bank line. I did pretty well, but the chap 5 up had 20lb of roach on the waggler!!!!
