.Share this GalleryThe MoD has announced a new contract to buy 51 new Foxhound lightweight armoured vehicles, built by Warwickshire-based firm General Dynamics Land Systems.
300 Foxhound vehicles have already been phased in, replacing the Army’s much-criticised Snatch Land Rovers. The new Foxhounds were tested in the hot and dusty conditions of the Helmand desert before being deployed to frontline service in Afghanistan earlier this year.
