Just thinking of how many names have exited the Cashmore’s ranks since I joined sometime in the early/mid 1990’s

Just a few spring to mind……………..

Jo Penn
Jim Penn
Bobby Leek
Chubby Mabbott (RIP)
Keith Page
Millie
Gouldie
Birdy
Hypo Mellor
Neil Smith
Dave Morley
Stefan
Young Shaunie
Golden Balls
The Wedge
MrV
There was also a family – husband, wife & son (???)

In fact I can only think of 8 current members who predate me

MGB
Mick Kenn
Heinzer
Phil B
Lasher
Rolly
Cashmores (x2)

As only 3 on the top list were members before me, I’m missing a dozen or perhaps more names from that era, plus I’m sure a number since I joined.

So over to you MGB to add to the list………..I can still picture a couple of faces that fished during my inaugural season with the club who’s names elude me which is a bit bugging.

Get rummaging through that paperwork…………………

Thought of another couple last night - Glynn Joesbury plus his mate that used to book the matches before me

Then Heinzer rang me to advise of the guy who left to fly his falcons or whatever birds of prey they were

Sorry but because of the paperwork which would have accrued over 21 years, I made a decision years ago not to save it for more than a couple of years or so, a decision I sometimes regret, especially now, following your request. It would have been interesting to recall some names from the past. Even my computer records only go back a couple of years. Tut tut. perhaps I deserve the sack!!

Roy Hill is the only one that springs to mind at the mo. I bet JR and Les Winyard would remember a few. There was another Les as well. we used to call them The Two Lessies
