i dont really know to be fair its a bit of a tough un aint it, seems to all depend on what stamp of fish you draw on. we went up the wharfe on saturday 10 on one side of the cables caught stampers and caught on bread while the rest of us other side of the cables caught skerritts and never caught on bread. Image
i done ok on the two practice opens with two section wins and second one out the main list both times. Image im going to larford i think on saturday. you at monks all weekend.
is it good there.

alright rich, not sure what permanent peg number it was maybe 73-75 about six or seven pegs past the cables. sat on a bend it was terrible there i caught 80-90 fish for 1.11.0 none of us there broke 2lb apart from the lads in the higher numbers closer to the pub still then though 3.9.0 was best. no skimmers caught wjer we was. any caught at milkhouse. conditions was not best though was it to be fair.

It was a beautiful sunny day on sunday, a heavy frost on saturday night but the canal wasn't frozen at pewsey, although I had a word with one of the boaters who said it was about 1/2" thick at wotton Rivers (about 2 miles above milkhouse) We had the same top weight on sunday 3.9.0 but he had 2 hybrids/skimmers as did 2 others and they came in the fist 10 pegs, normally they are a bit further along! I'm looking forward to sunday though, are you bringing two sets of clothes with you this week? or a normal ice breaker like the rest of us?

i had must admit i really like it there and looking forward to sunday as long as i draw another bung hole. as for the spare pair of clothes i will do cos i hate the banks there they are horrendous in places i reckon i sat four foot off the canal on saturday. :-/

How long does it take you to get there Danny?

i thought it would, i half reckon that is why in some areas you cannot catch lots of roach simply cos your peg has tench and skimmers in and nothing else can settle and feed on your bait but conditions have to be dead right for the bonuses to have a proper munch. well have to go down and have a bag up. makes a change to be on a canal towpath where the walkers aint smoking a spliff or drinking a can of tennents super. Sheriff can only manage Carling....Tennents super's a bit strong for Wayne.
