2nd rd of the Soar valley winter league
with the league well on its way all the teams wanted to improve on there first round performances,whether to hold on to the lead or move up the table every thing was set for a cracking day of sport .conditions on the day with a early morning mist and lovely autumn sunshine the river carrying some colour all looked spot on .Brian the organiser had selected the sections so the draw was really important.Mark eustace of Leicester sensas pulled out peg 2 on the brinks a well known chub peg and started off well with three chub in the first hour Mark fished a stick float with double and single caster and by the end of the match had put together ten chub to 4lb for a total of 12kg 075g and take home top prize. 2nd on the day Pete hamilton Maver Loughborough soar again pete fished stick float and maggots on the archies section pete had roach and dace well over a 180 fish came to his net for a total of 11kg 120g. 3rd Mark godfrey Leicester sensas Mark fished chopped worm and feeder to take bream and tench from sutton bodington for a total of 10kg 540g
on the team front Leicester sensas maded the most of a good draw and with 5 section winners took control of this round with a total of 27 points and took over the top spot in the overall league.2nd Wigston AS after the disapointment of last weekend made the of the day and ended on 35 points 3rd Long eaton fed and Matrix dynamite trentmen on 41 points
