TK you sneaky sod, you could have come with us.
We must smell or something Sprucey  :-/

Started off getting to Spruceys for 8.15 where I had a cuppa and a bacon and sausage sarnie waiting for me Image
After that we set off for the fishery which is only about 20 mins away.

Fished the first pool on the left as you go down.
Plenty of fish caught on a nice sunny day.
Started off on the deck at 8 and a half meters on the maggot feeding pinkie, was catching roach. Rudd, skimmers and tench.
As the sun warmed the pool up I thought I would try shallow on the caster. Was catching slowly but I popped a red maggot on and was having no end of bites.

I went back on the deck on double caster for some more tench and roach and Rudd. Then finished off shallow on double red maggot.

Cheers Sprucey for taking me, shame some said they couldn't make it and went fishing elsewhere  Image  :P

Didn't take too many pics.....

No Ide caught mate. The tench were al pretty small. The biggest been 1 and a half lb I'd say
Sprucey had a nice skimmer nearly 2lb

Not sure really, couldn't use keepnets. Probably about 10lb Max between us.

There was 5 other blokes all fishing with sea rods and line   :D
One of them had a 12lb'er and was very excited about it, fair play to him.
As we were leaving one of the other guys managed to catch something A LOT bigger.................. the Island  :D

Si, you only fish when the carp are feeding but you still never catch any , just gudgeon and perch Image :P
You may as well fish through the winter and catch your Gudgeon and Perch. Then maybe in the summer you will catch some carp  Image

Yep it was. I bet them blokes thought we were a right pair of clowns turning up with our poles and catching Roach and Rudd lol.
When I was setting up I was wondering why they all had big leads on fishing to the island.
