with the winter league series just about to start it was great to see 35 anglers turning out at the kegworth open  ,condition were not the best with blustery winds and rain and cold nights  the competition was always going to be challenging to the anglers .Aaron wells Leicester sensas made the most of the conditions using chopped worm and caster, Aaron caught some real specimens perch upto 3lb and eels to 2lb for a total of 9lb 10oz .2nd Mark eustace Leicester sensas Mark is enjoying a good run on the rivers and canals with his favoured chopped worm and caster Mark managed to catch a tench 5lb and some perch for 6lb5oz 3rd John brockway long eaton fed 5lb 6oz again perch 4th Joff woodgett Leicester sensas 5lb 5oz mixed bag of roach and perch .first round of the soar valley winter league starts this sunday the 7th oct
RESULTS

i think if everyone gave a day up most of the river could be pallet-ed pete the greens needs some badly to end of the brinks
