Summer League Round 6 River Don Sprotboro
Posted: September 17th, 2012, 9:31 pm
With River still low and clear...... it was the turn of those with the longest walk who were rewarded with a good days fishing. Worm n feeder for bream and skimmers still boss.
Other than that...section wise it was those who got their heads down pole fishing for Gudgeon from 6 to 14mtr (not short!!!).....who returned good section points.. With odd Chublette to 1lb from tight across on blockend.
Top 3 teams on the day:
1st - 0sset
Joint 2nd - Thorne & Donny.
Individual:
1st - P Stevenson (Donny)
Peg 56 - 11kg 600g
2nd - P Daley (Normanton)
Peg 55 - 10kg 300g
3rd - J Cameron (Clay Lane) Peg 54 - 6kg 400g
With next weeks round 7 on Don again and final round on A&C Canal the weekend after.... Donny should do well......however its still a two horse race for the title between Ossett and Thorne.
Fortunately (lol!!) I miss the last two rounds..however i will endeavour to post the overall league positions.
til then....
