Thought for a minute that was one of Bill's roach hanging in the tree

Lymm Dam in the beautifull village of Lymm in Cheshire

I used to fish for Lymm juniors and spent a lot of time on Lymm Dam fishing junior evening matches plus weekend matches , got taught loads Used to be a fabulous venue ..... the church shallows used to hold a big shoal of bream also one of the best roach venues around. Used to get the bus from south Manchester to fish the evening matches then got a moped when i left school .....happy days

Awesome venue TK ...... seems so long ago now :( some terrific senior anglers used to help out with the junior team and take us to junior nationals all over the place. I remember once being lucky enough to win a junior 3 hour saturday morning match on lymm Dam with 7 lb of roach and skimmers , my dad took me that day and after the match i was presented with a tackle voucher by the late great Benny Ashurst
