UK CHAMPS 3RD ROUND

change at the top in third round shocker!
In a dramatic twist, the four anglers leading the field in this years UK Angling Championship had a bad result in last Wednesdays round, leaving the competition wide open.
Fished on the Match and Specimen Lakes at Maver Larford, the match was a big weight affair, with Mark Pollard coming out on top weighing over 86 kilos of fish. After drawing peg 11 on the specimen lake, Mark focussed on the short pole, feeding hemp and meat. He caught carp for the duration of the match, in a session which saw him land individual specimens to 14lb!
With one round of the competition left to go, Simon Fry, Marc Rodger and Paul Hillier are tied in first place with seven points, but with eight anglers being just one point behind on eight points there really is everything still to play for.
Result:
1 Mark Pollard (Shimano/ Dynamite) 86.540 (Specimen peg 11)
2 Rob Wootton (Shimano/Dynamite) 85.000 (Specimen peg 52)
3 Luke Sears (Daiwa) 52.140 (Match peg 12)
4 Paul Law 50.240 (Specimen peg 64)
5 Phil Ringer (Ringers) 44.540 (Specimen peg 13)
6 Pete Thomas (Browning) 41.840 (Specimen peg 56)
7 Jon Arthur 41.780 (Match peg 10)
8 Paul Yates 41.420 (Match peg 46)
