W.B.C. Angling grand union canal kings road tyseley 19/8/2012
A big thanks to all the anglers who turned out today. Fished the low numbered pegs. With the weather been overcast and very hot, not the best conditions for canal fishing. (Roach had switched off)
Skimmers were the main species of the day and fed on most pegs with only 7oz separating 2nd place up to 5th place, it was a very close run match right up to the final whistle. Taking top weight today went to Wayne Shippley fishing squatt from peg 9, having some bonus skimmers to the 12oz mark. 2nd Glen Morris who fished red maggot over caster, also had skimmers from the far bank. 3rd went to Andy Curless also fishing red maggot who had an all skimmer net of fish.
