A session that deserved a write up, So Ill make it short and sweet.
The Bratch - Wombourne // Wolverhampton AA waters
Josh;
2 rigs + whip line
-1 16 Elastic, .19 Powerline, .3grm hand made float
-2 4 Elastic, .10 silstar line, .3grm hand made float
Tricast;
2 rigs + whip line
-1 10 Elastic, .12 line, some greeeny float?
-2 4 Elastic, .10 line, some other greeny float?
Trip was called at the last minute so bait was just what ever we had on us.. being;
Caster
Red Maggot
Worm
Punch
Brown Crumb
I had started off fishing Brown Crumb at 2 o'clock at around 11mtrs having gugeon a chuck.. Whilst Tricast was scatting about for bits..
We had both potted a good cupful of worm/caster out at start to hope some of those nice fish would show up...
Around 3hrs into the session I hear Tricast shout 'Im going to chuck this rig over my choppie swim and hopefully ill be coming back with a chub of about 4lb'
Within 30 seconds? or something..
He snared a nice chub of about 1lb whilst leaving me in shock as if to say wtf just happend?
He went back out.. bang another nice chub of about 1lb..
Right now Im going out on my choppie line!
30 seconds and Im into a chub my self of about 1lb..
Next put in... 3-4minutes and nothing.. then bang!
My 16 elastic goes shooting off under a load of overhanging bushed then followed on by a massive splash.. Carp!? 4lb Monster chub?
Ill never know Fish got me snagged leaving me stuck on the far bank and having to cut my elastic to save breakages..
New pole/rig setup.. Straight back in.. to a nice 1.5lb 2lb chub!
But then my swim died out leaving me no option but to go back to the gugeon..
Fair play to Tricast tho having about 7-8 chub all day.. biggest to around the 1.5lb mark.
Heres our nets;
Tricasts Double figures net;
My 3lb of bits
Overall cracking day, and we will both returning at our next available opportunity!
Thanks for reading

Been finding me mojo up the cut this morning with Heinzer........
Not fishing but chest deep down on the wides raking the pads, reeds and cabbages out - making it fishable again cuss you couldnt fish the section - amazing what had sprouted up and how far out since we last visited. Still got a few more pegs to sort out, cuss rain stopped play
Bet there's been a few tincas grubbing about in them pegs since we left
