Change In Dates For Evesham Qualifiers

Due to the recent severe rain, the dates of a couple of this years Evesham Festival qualifying matches have had to change. This is to accommodate a rowing regatta that had to be cancelled due to the river being dangerously high. The two dates affected are Saturday June 30th, and Sunday July 1st. There will now be no qualifiers taking place on these dates, as this is when the regatta has been rearranged to take place.
Instead, two new dates have been found for these qualifiers, with the Wychavon Qualifier now being held on Sunday July 8th, and the Shakespeare Qualifier on Wednesday August 1st. Please note that anglers who have booked on the qualifiers that are cancelled will not be automatically transferred to the new qualifiers, and should phone Diana Raphael on 01386 45460 to secure their place. Match Fishing Team Championship Qualifier (Teams Of Five): Sunday June 24th

Subject to attendance, each of the below matches will see three anglers qualify for the star studded finals taking place on the August bank holiday weekend, where they can compete for a share of a prize fund worth more than £28,000!

i'm in a few but not the B/J ones they were sold out by the end of the fishing season

I have booked on all the matches as normal, however due to dates not out yet such as the Bristol Avon National practice matches, Partridge AT final etc no doubt I will have to drop ones as the dates appear.
I do not wish to put dampers on the bloodworm matches but 7 in a month is too much. I would prefere to just see the bait in on monday's team match and leave it at that. The venue cannot take it simple as. We have been down this road before and to be fair it does not work. The trouble is it becomes plan A and when it does not work you cannot catch anything else.
The venue resonds to all methods, waggler, feeder, all types of pole fishing be it roach, chop worm for perch / tench / eels, maggot for all species etc. These take years to learn but when the red men and clag come to town then even my good lady could win off a good peg !!!!!!!

i know what your saying richie,and you are correct in every way. as you know i can only fish the Sundays yet everyone is telling me it can't take the pressure of two days running and that's traditional baits so i think the 19th aug will be a shocker :-[after 4 B/J matches
yet everyones up for fishing it so it can't be all bad
the matches that are sold out still have a waiting list :Dif i remember last year one or two matches nearly didn't qualify as qualifiers because of the turn outs
trouble is i've made other plans for the dates of the soldout matches

In a fashion yes we have joff.... Long story though! We have got a team in the qualifiers but didn't receive an invite to the team event, even though we didn't get relegated last year!!! Its a bit of a farce to be honest. i think what happened was they took the top 9 teams from the previous years event and sent them their invites, then realising they should have sent 10, automatically sent one to quorn as they didn't drop out that particular year where as we did. They then realised they had made a mistake and told us that we couldn't fish!! So because of their stupid mistake and them not willing to rectify it we now have to try and qualify for an event that we should already be fishing! Oh and if you happen to see rob, i would't mention it

i think tony will be surprised that quorn have a team in it as he asked if he could fish with us 
again that couldn't happen unless you are a regular angler in the team  so i take it they are sticking to that rule  no outsiders
i'm not sure if Jon arthur has anything to do with it now that he's left shakespeare i think Rog Mortimer sent the invites out

MORE OR LESS A COUPLE OF MONTHS AFTER THE EVENT choppy i think he thought they would have to qualify to get in and the interest isn't there as far as i'm aware mate

Tony Marshall will be fishing for Shakespeare this year and the Quorn invite will go back.

Tony will be availiable for everything other than the Soar Valley winter league Joff. He will still represent Quorn in that while it's still running.

the reason he couldn't fish for us at evesham was the fact he didn't want to sign up because of quorn so far-play
