Heard the price is going up a lot.

What the maximum you would pay for it?

Is it really needed? Look at the weights at the Cornerstone match last Saturday. No joker there.

sorry i like fishing with the bait :-[ but i will go either way if its banned its banned :-/
I've learnt a lot this winter without it I've had good pegs and bad and i'm sure even with the B/J the bad pegs would of been just as bad
I've lost a bit of my enthusiasm for the cips matches after all i can only fish one day a week so i would rather fish 5 hours now than 4hours
the company i fish a long side now is the best and win or lose i'm always looking forward to my next weekend Image

Hammo, sorry but I have to disagree with your comments about the cips matches. Professionals, all the kit and all the gear, there is only a handfull of anglers who fish that league in that position that can go 4 days a week, as for bait the bloodworm and joker are the same price for the "proffessionals" and us mere mortals as I don't think Sam would drop his prices, with the bait limits no one can have more bait, so for them reasons you are on level playing fields, 13m pole limits and float only. No need for specialist kit there mate.

Oh and to answer lee,s question the most I would be prepared to pay for joker would be 10 quid for half kilo as I could not afford to pay anymore with other baits and groundbait price but would prefer to fish 1 of these matches with a good turnout as opposed to fish 2 x 20 peg matches where only a pint of pellets are needed.

yes i travel a long way most weekends to fish matches with a good turnout i think natural venues are less likeley to have "venue experts" than 20 peg comies , but you pay your money you take your choice

hammo danny is right if you fished these cips matches i'm sure you'd do the same pre-matches hours getting your kit right .if your not prepared to do that then yes you will be mulled
they are a great experience and glad I've been involved my biggest problem are the venues we have some great natural rivers yet choose canals and commercials fare-play the Gloucester canal is a good venue but i'm not in a precision know where i can travel that far for 4 hours of fishing the interest isn't there and if you haven't the interest there's no point in fishing them :-/ :-/
