Now you've pointed that out grover, it's probably really one on the stick.........what the angler was famed for
I've only just spotted the fish just under his hand - I mistakenly took part of his rod rest to be the wag

Hell of a bait stand too. Wouldn't want to carry/roll that to my peg.

That's only a 2ozer................... isnt it Grover......
If it isnt that's why I somehow end up with 10lb when I think I've only got 4lb in the net

Lovely fella Colin.
He used to deliver to the shop when working for Dynamite baits.
I always remember reading about his success on the Trent doing consitantly well on the feeder...a legend.
bet he didn't use a closed face then.
I love any original swedish Abu closed faced.
Still use 501's alot..always when on a waggler..with good old KC 12ft norboron.
Never get a tangle with 501..had 17lb roach early Jan and loved every minute of it.
Colin's reel could be shaky one or Abu 503..?

Manny yes you can, it's called a 508 which is the same reel as the king of them all the 507 !
They go for a lot cheaper than 507's on ebay for obvious reasons, maybe 50/60 quid.
