Yes B and J will be allowed, 0.5 kilo limit probably, match length will be between Gloucester Docks and Castle, depending on what conditions are/how the areas are fishing etc.

Given some of the noise thats been on here it seems to me that Bob Dyer/Angling Trust have listened to what people wanted and used natural venues - he is working hard and we need to give Angling Trust some time, space and help if we want WL future to be assured!

its been too rushed this year

I can only asume that's the reason for the choice of venues.. seems really odd to have two semi's 5 miles apart?
hoping there was no influence in the decision as it's obviously benifitting north yorkshire teams... when the rest of us who like us fished welsh league have to now travel to the end of the world and back every wk and empty our wallets... but like said it's prob due to being a rush job. Hopefully next year a tiny bit of thought will go into it and have both semi's spread out a bit more or have one of them more centrally based. obviously there's always going to be an advantage to the most local team, but putting both semi's in same town almost! is bizzare... :-?

I thought that Lewis !
And like you, will have to empty my wallet, I think Shakespeare are at Thorne (Think !).
To be fair like you I have to travel as Burton is out of the way. Whether it's Angling Times or the Trust it's always been like that and I have enjoyed meeting new people, new venues, new tactics.
I do think it favours Barnsley, however the other places are up for grabs and if your team qualify's you will be the one's to beat in the final.
DNW are good enough to win the semi on that venue Lewis, unfortunately You and your team will have to 'tip up' on the semi mate then clean up on the final !! Image

In my day we would travel to the ends of the land to fish a semi-final.

Granted it was a lot cheaper in those days when most matches were of a very similar entry/pool fees.
It may be coincidence but since all the big money matches have come in the circuit it has been so different for the past 20 years or so.
