pretty sure it was around the corner from where allens is now...you could only get maybe 2-3 people in cos the shop was in the front room of a terraced house...brill little tackle shop if it is it(back in the day)

Right on that one ChrisV, That one was one of three concecutive Maxis I owned in those days. I loved 'em. We used to get 4 anglers with all our tackle in before the roof rack became a necessity. I would drop the seats flat and two anglers would sit facing backwards with the boxes and rod bags between 'em. Couldn't do it today with all the gear we seem to find neccessary to take with us nowadays!

FIRST CAR I HAD IT EVEN HAD 5 GEARS and made a lovely noise when you changed gear and a top steering lock you could turn on a six pence Image

Remember it well - bought my first pole there back in 1976 - a 5.8mtr shakie model.......... :D

Good job it wasnt any longer cuss given its weight dont think I could have managed another section or two :D
