At about 6pm last evening I was 'in between jobs' so I thought I would fill that bit of time in by trying to sort out all these ridiculous marketing calls I was getting from our friends from you know where (OK India!)

I had not long changed to Virgin and apparently this cancelled my previous agreement whereon I was on a register and avoided all these calls, so they started coming thick and fast again.

I rang and after being playing bingo on the phone I actually got somebody who could speak. I had my words prepared but lo and behold, who was I talking to, a lady from you no where! I altered my words a bit and she was very helpful and the longshot of it was I would receive no more marketing calls but it may take 24 hours to enforce. By this time I had burnt my dinner to a frizzle; you could play cricket with my meat and potato pie and the smoke alarms went into overdrive!

I had it all sorted out and the phone goes, this is after about another 15 minutes. ::) Who was it? Yes, it was another lady from you know where and not only that she was from Virgin and trying to flog me something that I didn't want! I couldn't believe it and deftly put the phone back with a resounding thump.

I hadn't took my head out of my hands and it rings again. I thought it can't be can it? Thankfully it wasn't, it was a voice box thing telling me I had won crappity smack knows how many millions! Do these things only ever happen to me?

Fish and chips for me today, from the chippie, I am starving now!

never answer the phone before at least 8 rings that stops them normally

put em on hold, that usta help, but thesedays i only have a mobile fone!
