Are we all Crackers

I often walk around Barston, but don't fish it. Although people fishing are of great interest to me,
for some reason I retain a non angler's perspective as well.
Today, after the rain started just as we began, I reckoned there was no chance of getting around without a soaking
. Hadn't got a hat or a hood either.
I must be getting soft this year, the cold weather doesn't seem appealing either.
Almost half way round, a carp lad was moving his kit from barrow to brolly shelter and I couldn't help thinking, why would anyone want to sit there for the afternoon on this dark, dank, cold and increasingly wet day ?
Yet I do the same, other times !
As we reached the club house, the diners watched, tucking into Sunday lunch and I thought how mad they must think we are, trudging round in these conditions, when we could be warm inside.
