After the demise of the Trent winter league it is a venue that sees very little match action.
They have run matches over the Christmas period on the low numbers and these have been feast or famine jobbies.
Talking of national practices on there when i was with Dams and Locks i managed to catch a pork pie with legs
Vicious little thing
JJ ran a match 2 years ago and 22lb won it with 19lb 2nd in September at the back of the Cinema.............but only 6 of us were there

The Beeston Canal goes into the Trent and use to tow alot. Rob was using a small flat float as well as a round bodied to hold back. The stick ups held tench, carp, chub, roach but the main quarry was skimmers and on the right day loads of them.
Could be a cracking canal on its day, never seem to go there now !
