Been having a think.............   As pegs 1 - 4 have monopolised the results in the first couple of matches perhaps I need to 'level' the playing field so that everyone (excluding Mr V who it appears can catch fish from a sponge) has a ballacher grueller?
Next match perhaps we'll be better off fishing  5 - 21    

if you did that you could guarantee that this would be the match when i was due to draw peg 2 . Well if i draw anything over peg 15 id better start practising fishing in a kettle

Been having a trawl through the old match records I possess for the KP regarding the performance of cock pegs 1-3

Makes a bit of interesting reading………..(the following doesn’t include the current series results from matches 1 and 2)

PEG 1
Fished 14 times. 7 winners, 2 x 2nd and 2 x 3rd. statistically speaking therefore a 50% chance of winning and a 78% chance of framing.
Best weight 14.9.0, has had a DNW on it, lowest recorded weight of 1.5.12. Average weight 7.1.0
PEG 2
Fished 17 times. 2 winners, 3 x 2nd and 4 x 3rd. 12% chance of winning, 52% of framing.
Best weight 9.15.0, has had a DNW and a lowest weight of 0.5.13 (yes 0.5.13). Average weight 3.2.0
PEG 3
Fished 17 times. 1 winner, 4 x 2nd and 1 x 3rd. 6% chance of winning and 35% of framing.
Best weight 6.15.10, has had a DNW and a lowest weight of 0.10.6. Average weight 2.8.0

A couple of other useless bits of info for you

The Hurdy Gurdy produced our best weight of 19.4.4
Peg 15 has won 3 times with weights of 3.0.0, 4.11.0 and 6.12.0. Therefore you statistically have an 18% chance of winning off this peg, better than peg 2.
Peg 13 has won with 6.7.0
Peg 14 has won with 5.6.11
Peg 11 has won with 3.10.6

however i believe the kidney pond has changed so much since the carp have been put in there. If you look at the results since those carp have been in there i think you'll find pegs 12 to 16 havent produced silver fish like they used to. This has been clarified by the members.Notably peg 13 the narrow one.IN addition peg 2 has become hot since people stopped fishing over the wall in peg 1.

Try more like i make it to the match, what with me dieing from flu, and got to take my 2 kids to 3 different places through out the day, got a 60th party/meal to go to on the night, plus try and squeeze the match in aswell .

TK. Just chuck pegs 1 - 21 in the hat and its a fair draw. If you dont draw a plum, its nobodies fault but yer own
At least that way everyone has the same chance of drawing a great peg or a c**p peg.
May be a few empty pegs about, but it does open the chances up for everyone.
OR....... try paying another quid apiece and splitting it into 3 sections, so at least some have a chanc of winning a bit of coin ::)

I was only trying to see how many bites I got when I suggested leaving out 1-4 although we did start leaving peg 1 out because it was monopolising results. No, I had my chance off it, now it's someelses turn........hopefully someone who aint drawn it before rather than those two drawing machines, Ginger Tom and Yamo.
Regarding pegs 13 - 15, I think 14 and 15 have suffered from the trees between 15 and 16 in the gully being chopped down. Mind I'd be quite happy giving em another bash. I can always borrow ME's 25 vespe and sit it out for a dog or two.

Can i come and bring some proper bait on one of these matches?
