hi chaps
just interested to hear how you think the kidney pond has been affected since the carp have been put in. I remember a few years ago, the geoff cashmore tree peg and the narow peg were cock pegs and always good for a few pound of roach and chub if the water was pumping. A ew locals have said that in their matches this yr the only peg producing round there was peg 16... the gudgeon charmer's latest peg....

Hi Yamo - looking thru the records - see other thread, peg 15s won 3 times, but has also had its share of 2lb weights.
Similarly peg 13 has thrown up 2 decent weights (6lb jobbies), and 2 x 3lb weights out
before the 2 decent weights came out GT hated the peg (and still does)
Think as we learn more on how to fish the pegs in the straight (7-10) the weights will get better. Never fished 16 - Ginger likes it - but it doesn't frame much.
Also peg 2s latest 12lb weights were unheard of previously from us. Perhaps as the winter sets in the complexion of the KP will change.
Or perhaps Mr V will rewrite the record books for us????????
Or perhaps we need ME's vespe 25 to pull out the carpies hanging about on 12-15 and possibly break GT's (our) record weight?

How wrong we may have been..............
Perhaps the carpies prefer pegs 4 - 9 best
First Shaunie reported his two on peg 8, followed by golden Balls losing 3, 1 on the strawberry flavoured plummet on 9(?) next match, until those carp catchers extraodinaires.......KOD & Simple show us how it's done off 4 & 5

Mr V Rugeley guys best weight is around the 34lb
What we doing wrong
Even the Chockie Monster would have to go a bit on his bw&j to do that...........the pole would be glowing hot, in and out.........

How many fish their matches?
How do they peg it?
How long do they fish?
What times do they start and finish?
these can all make a difference.

In answer to your questions Ratbag:
1 = About 15, same as gruellers
2 = Same as gruellers, usually leave out tins unless more than 15
3 = 5 hours
4 = 0930 - 1430
They are always on Sundays. Always odd one or two who will sit it out for carp, but very rarely get them. Club standard anglers, with odd couple who have seen a lot of serious match fishing over the years, but mainly Trent and T & M canal.
No carp puddlers among them, just anglers who like silver fishing.

A) Got it in one ratbag
B) It's more of a challenge if you lasso your maggots on
but then..................the mystical grueller factor kicks in for us
