Evesham 2011 today (Monday)
Well not exactly a 'result' but I took a few snaps today...........(ps click on them to blow them up)
Having parked up, first I clocked Chop Worm Hero on a PPP just below the bridge
He was snaring bits on the wag hard across
But they looked like they were 80 to the lb so he switched to the pole
Tootling upstream Danny A was snaring a few gonks.....
And not far away I spotted Keef doing an admirable job......
After a quick chat with Keef, another gonk.....
A stroll back downstream and a view from the bridge with CWH in Japanese sniper mode
A little further downstream and Dennis White had got a lackie stretcher on
Just about to be netted - not sure whether it was a skimmer or redfin, couldnt clock it from off the bank
Back upstream and one of Joffie's men (I think) was playing a gud un
Here you go – a barbie knocking the 3lb mark......
So it was off to the pub for a pint and a bite to eat.......
Wandering back via Huxleys I had a quick chat with Si Nickless
Further down in the 70’s Diddy had got his head down snaring bits off an inside line
And onto far end peg 80 – where I found Joffie
And straight away Joffie’s lollypop float dipped........
Out again and it dips straight away again
And a ‘bonus’ 4oz kinver tiger was soon in the net
Wandering back to find JK on Crown meadows I clocked Grumpy
And then bumped into MarkV who’d been spending his hard earned bish bosh along with the 'better half'– nice seeing you again MarkV - and Mrs V

Nice to meet you TK
Hard day for many, including myself !
We had a poor draw apart from End peg ! who drew me a stinker ! 23, loads of cabbages, weed, blah, blah. Anyway nice to meet up with faces and have a good chat which a lot of it is all about. Well done to winners Dorking who are back with a bang !, Barnsley for coming second and to my surprise us in third, Leicester came 4th.
Big well done to Chris Jenkinson for winning and Rob Jones of Leicester for coming second(4lb tench, 1lb perch !)
Well organised as ever and a big well done to the guys at DHP, shame about the river, too clear and over fished I,m afraid.
Always going to be hard this year due to the conditions and the weed problems.
Always next year

sorry about that had to go out the officetop class report again TK my kit did look a mess
i thought we had a great chance this year as we didn't have to draw for our peg we were given ::) ::) it last to draw
thank god really as every team before us sent up there draw bag wizards the who's who of match results we haven't got anyof them yet when i saw end peg go up i looked at choppy i think he knew if they only had one good peg endpeg would be on it .what a weekend he had in the money on all three days for me i draw endpeg 80 i'd spoke to choppy and one two others and again really fanced it for a few fish althou from what i was told it was more perch eels as a bonus and roach next peg i had simon fields of barnsley a top top class B/J angler we started of neck and neck
neck and neck yet the fish we were putting in the net wouldn't of weighed much really small roach 5 dips to a bite light floats in the deeper water did help but it didn't look as though it was going to get any better 7 metre line again odd small fish and not many of them our young lad harry was doing agood job running the bank as did stan
about 2.30pm we had decided if the fish we catching weren't worth catching and we as a team were going nowhere we'd go the full hog and fish for a bonus fish
you have got to give yourself a chance it was nice to here we had some all most instant results with a barbel in the first section a eel in the next then in the 3rd section gaz hooked what everyone thought was a barbel that turned out to be a 5lb pike and got it out next section rob jones had a tench it was all down to me to get a bonus the flat float went under 4 times each time it was a small perch hows your luck TK came down just to see if i could repeat the last minute tench but just couldn't find it
fishing always seams to kick you in the teeth as the whole point of the plan was you might as well come last as come 4th one of the lads did loose a barbel which would of put us second at best still we'll be back next year its a great event and its great to meet up with everyone
choppy has convinced me to go more next year and all said and done its hard fishing and peggy but the are lots of different peg in different conditions that you can win off
well done to everyone who fished a great day out yet again
choppy what about this trent match then i've got the bug for rivers again

Is there a full peg by peg set of match results for the complete festival knocking about anywhere?
Evesham 2011 today (Monday)
What a fab report & even better pictures, to me they really do sum up what fishing is all about, the features, the wildness of the river & fish that have to be caught, how can you ever tire of going to a place like that Its got me even more in the mood for the wild wild Shannon in two weeks time

fin i made the mistake of listening to far to many anglers about evesham itscrap, its peggy, its a long way for nothing so i never really bothered but i wished i'd of gone moreWhat a fab report & even better pictures, to me they really do sum up what fishing is all about, the features, the wildness of the river & fish that have to be caught, how can you ever tire of going to a place like that Its got me even more in the mood for the wild wild Shannon in two weeks time
its a great venue and lots of pegs that you can win off the pegs have such variety 5ft to 14ft fast, slow ok the fishing is hard but very natural and this year its been low and clear for most of the year
i think what choppy has said is right 3 days of b/j is a touch too much on a low and clear river but even so someone has got to win and the good thing about natural venues is anything can happen even the best anglers can struggle and thats good to see from time to time i fished the monday match but went down on the sunday to watch its well run and its great being a part of the weekend

Yes Fin Muckno Pairs. I am only ever 'dangerous' for one match though; got no staying power these days, -missed two matches last year cuz I got stuck in the pub and they wouldn't let me out
Hope to actually fish every match this year
I probably know your mates if they've been before
