Forty six anglers fished the match.

The river fished reasonably good and as expected Shardlow produced some fine nets of fish.

The Burton sections fished 100% better than last year with good back up weights.

The low flow in the river and the sun coming out did not help.

The top five weights came from The Crown Meadow at Shardlow
1st Alex Graham Banbury ac         19lb 10oz roach on caster and hemp
2nd Eric Wright Bradford ac           17lb 6 oz roach on caster
3rd John Hardwidge Coors ac       13lb 10oz  8lb 7oz Barbel and a 3lb Bream on maggot feeder

I don,t think Mr Vanadome knows i am with Shakespeare Joff!
A hard section for sure, just a few perch and 3 roach, but you can only try to catch whats in front of you !
I am not drawing very well at present and having no luck generally, but you plough on and wait for that chance, like we all do ! The good thing about match fishing is that we can always blame the peg !!!!!
