Had a little wander down today on this picturesque section of cut

The canal cracks were certainly having a few Image

Fish everywhere

This was a nice lacky stretcher - a kinver tiger on the chop down the track

Image

This crack was having a few too ;)

Image

Swinging in another couple of ouncer Image

Image

You dont see many of these on the towpath these days - the Futron that is

Image

Just after this picture a pike had a strike at a couple of ounce roach hooked across

Nope course you daint Murfin - tried not to 'disturb' anyone  ;),  especially with the missus in tow.  On the contrary, had a pleasant chat with a quite a few of the guys below the lock as they were having a few  Image

I'd originally pulled up at the Fruit farm and had to ring and check with Bill Yards whether I got the wrong date  :D - I've only fished that 'immediate section' by the farm with our club before and couldnt see anyone in sight........Bill rang me back and said you were round past that first bridge with a fair few above the lock.

Never got to see Bill Yards after all - walked the lower section and went a few pegs above the lock but JK needed a call of nature............too much coffee before we left...........so it was back to the FF  :D

Yes I can confirm the phone call. like every crappity smack else that mobiles me I get about three rings then they crappity smack off. They must think I am made of crappity smack money all the phone calls I return Image Anyway as I recognized the number I rang back, - "Where yam yer" said. I told him.

Now up to this point I was getting a crappity smack bite every put in on caster, - not big fish but skimmers of 3/4 oz and roach. The match was about half way through.
Finished the phone call and out went a few more casters and hemp followed by my pole rig. For the first time me float never budged, I thought the caster had come off but it dain't. Anyway I put another new shing red one on and no crappity smack bite again. This went on till the end of the match, I had 8 lb 2oz and was last in the section.

Don't ever talk to me about jinxes again. One phone call from this guy and that was it, the biggest Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image I have ever come across.

Serves me crappity smack right for ringing back Image Image Image Image

the reason bill stopped catching was his ring tone was on full volume and vibrate and that's enough to scare anyone even the bloke next door thought it was his car alarm Image Image Image Image Image Image Image
