30 fished on 3 sections-Tamworth road-Sandiacre-Dockholme below the lock.

1. Dean Guess-Notts AA 11-15-0
2. Darren Lewis-Shakespeare 10-2-0
3. Pete Allwood-Long Eaton Reds Image 9-8-0
4. Rob Parker-Matts Boys-8-8-0
5. Darren Massey-Shakespeare-8-2-0

Teams:

1. Shakespeare 11 points
2. Notts AA 13
3. Long Eaton Reds Image 16
4. Mattys Boys 16

Dean drew the willow below Dockholme-peg 52 and had 3 Tench and 3 big Perch on worm and as in the previous weeks Fed match was again attacked by the angry swan who keeps trying to eat his keepnet Image

Darren Lewis was end peg on Tamworth Road-peg 44 and had the shelter of a tree to thank but had all dumpy Roach and Rudd.Despite being the favoured section Tammy Road was hard with 3lb being a good weight.

Pete Allwood drew the end peg 54 at Dockholme and had 13 Perch up to 1.5lb on the snake but lost 2 proper chaps. He was also attacked by the swan who tried to eat a 6oz Perch in his landing net Image

Rob Parker was on peg 78 at Sandiacre behind the pub and had a mixed net.Darren Massey despite having a "few" end pegs in his section did well courtesy of a couple of early lumps. He drew under the trees behind Comet and the two locals either side both had 5lb.

Shakespeare despite having a mare of a peg at Dockholme picked up the top team just ahead of the Notts AA ringers Image It was a good job the Hickling clan-3 section winners did not put a team in-they may have been 2nd.

The section to draw although very weedy was Dockholme with 6 Tench and a 3-10 Bream off peg 36 coming out. This stetch had 2 matches on it already and each time Tench weights win! Image

For any one thats interested Long Eaton Fed have a summer league match on Saturday-sorry Joff Image with the draw at the Haunted house at 8.30. Alan Wright is running this one and we are fishing the narrows-The chimney-Dale avenue-Aubreys bridge.Bring a weed cutter Image

Now Now lets not get bitter i know you dont like the Erewash and i agree it is hard to fish but then we dont have a million boats like Luffboro Image

Best small fish nets were the 2 Darrens although Rob Parker also had a few.

The problem is that its so gin clear and we only had 2 boats. My peg was solid with Roach at the start then you put the pole over and bang they all disappear to the back of the candocks :(

We have to keep fishing it or it will totally weed over-at least its somewhere local to fish on a Saturday Image.Long Eaton Fed stocked a few Tench a few years ago and they are obviously thriving on a diet of candocks and chopped worm!
