Top lad. Brilliant cut angler who framed most times in big matches around here. Those were the days when any canal match around here would have the likes of Big Dave Berrows, Pete Hargreaves, Paul Turner. Mills and Makin, as well as all the top Isaac Walton lads, (Bill as well )
I think Simons incident with the pole and overhead wires was the catalyst for clubs having to think more "safely" when pegging out. He made an amazing recovery and was soon back collecting brown envelopes.
