Sunday June 5th 2011.......
Baswich Lane & Farm Down Rd Stafford.
With this the first open on this stretch of Canal for some time, 29 Seniors and 1 Junior where optimistic that the angling returns would be good.
the weather conditions where lightish winds, Sunny, with slight showers .
The canal boat traffic was extremely heavy
for this shallow stretch of Canal, making this quite an hard nut to crack.
but the canal showed how moody it can be with roach & skimmers hard to tempt, ...........

Sunday July 3rd........
Radford Bank & Greengore Lane,
this was the second open of the Stafford Isaac Walton series and 26 seniors tuned out .
There were two sections at Greengore Lane , and three sections at Radford Bank back to the boat club
the weather was hot and sunny.
the three sections at Radford produced the winner and third with Bream & Skimmers making up the weights.
the two sections on the boats at Greengore Lane were by far the most consistent as some stamp roach and decent perch freely fed and it was hear were second place came from....

Sunday July 17 2011.
Little onn Cables down to The Gantry section.
23 Anglers turned out for this the third open of the Stafford Isaac Walton open Series the weather was slightly Breezy with showers
Near to the cables was always the place to draw , and this proved the case today as second & third came from hear
and three pegs before the cables produced the winner
thoughts of chub being caught along the match length didnt happen as the winner had only three in his winning bag with roach, bream/skimmers making up the bulk of catchs.

On a more serious note i know Little Onn has got a large head of chub, which are always welcome in any ones bags
but they do tend to feed later in the year late summer/Autumn
And it was good to see the other resident fish get a look in .
