Seeing as we havent been to Rayne for 2 years I have no idea what effect the pruning he undertook has had on the lake. It has had time to recover and the fish are still in there so any doubts are probably unfounded.

There is an absolute maximum of 22 pegs so depending on drop outs it could be a little cramped.
As in previous years I will do the money and draw at the lakeside. I will also need some volunteers to get the weigh gear down to the lake and more importantly back up the hill after.

So who wants to come and play this time?

Count me in please Dave. As an aside I remember your note about limited no. of pegs and the state of the platforms at Clavering and have diary note that we were fishing there this Saturday has this been dropped or cancelled? .

Until I am old enough to get paid an Old Age Pension I refuse to do any free work for anyone. So push your own bloody gear Clive. :P :P :P

That postcode will probably take you the wrong way at the roundabout. When you come down Pods Brook Road to the roundabout onto Rayne Road you need to take the first exit left.
150 yards on there is a lane on the right to the Car Park. It is signed to Rayne Lodge.

i just had a conversation with the owner and he tells me that there is a cafe in the industrial estate which he thinks opens at 8 am.

If you come down Pods Brook Road and go straight across the roundabout its about 200 yards on the left. I shall take a little detour in the morning to check it out for the future.
