Brings back memories TK had my first carp from the anker 1973 two in fact 8oz each.Also done my first ton all silvers,there is 3-4 pegs the other side ladybridge (1st pic) roach used to shoal up certain time of the year often wonder if they are still there.River looked good but don't they always in closed season.

Brings back memories TK had my first carp from the anker 1973 two in fact 8oz each.Also done my first ton all silvers,there is 3-4 pegs the other side ladybridge (1st pic) roach used to shoal up certain time of the year often wonder if they are still there.River looked good but don't they always in closed season.

Some good memories for me too cjsid Image - but not quite as good.........never got near that ton of silvers, although I did weigh in 29lb12oz of all roach from the peg below the bomb hole

Shame all those rhodies have gone from the peg above the bridge :'(

Talking of carp, we fished a match and I was end but one upstream by the arches.

I was struggling - it was shallow and ripping through. I'd had some silvers and lost a barbel on the pole when a guy came up and asked if he could drop in the last peg above. Yep, no probs. Low and behold he hooked and landed a double figure carp - as black as the ace of spades it was :o

The only reason I got it before was because of the Castle ! Not fished there for many, many years. Have tried in the past, to get in an odd winter match run by Jeff Eardley, but failed and I don't even know if he still run,s them !
