dunston heath farm.

I was hoping i didn't have to work to day so i could visit this venue. Unfortunatley i did have to work 
, but didn't have to start until lunch time 
. So 5 am the alarm goes off 
, jump out of bed (well fall out 
) coffee on, toast in the toaster tackle in the car. 5.30 post code in the sat nav and off i go. sat nav says take m6 south, fishery is in penkridge which is north 
. rollox to the sat nav i will head off my self and hope the sat nav wakes up . Junc 13 still sat nav wants to go south Im sure i told it i wasn't ging to rolfs cos i had though that match was may not april 
. Rollox to the sat nav i will have a go at finding it my self . Off i go to wards penkridge and i see a sign for dunston (yes ) then i see a sign on a post of a fish with dunston heath farm on it . Yes ive found it and its only 5 to 6 . I read the rules on the sign ect and went to find a peg. I met the owner who gave me a breif talk about the pool.
I chose a peg that wasn't over the other side so i didn't have to walk for to long. My peg was 9m off the first island and to the left of it is was one hell off a snag pit. If what every one is right what they were saying that peg is gonna be fun
. Apart from 1 area (5ft deep) the whole pools is 3ft deep. I got a rig out .17 power line straight through to a animal 14 hook and bait was corn. Top kit was the 25 vespe 
. Fed pellets. 10 mins past nothing , change bait , red mag over pellet (as the bloke on the next peg was using that and had 3 carp to 4-5lb in them 10 mins) still nothing 
. another bait change 4mm pellet over pellet and red mag. This instantly make the float start bobing about. strike nothing, strike nothing fcuking hell this doing my head in the bang a crucian is in the net. Bloody hell 25 laccy is a bit much for crucians so top kit gose to black hydro but sane rig. Bang 3 more crusians, followed by a carp about 3 lb the crash bang wollop, through the snags, round the island across the pool, round the pool (bl00dy hell how far does black hydro stretch before it snaps ?? in the end it was put the top kit down and pull the laccy in by hand untill a 13.2 lb (thanks to john the owner for the use of the scales) comon was in the net . By the time i left at 12 for the race to get to daventry for 1 i had had 15 crucian, 1 tench, 7 carp and 9 silvers (roach and rudd). Unfortunatly i forgot my camera, but any days off i get from now on dunston will be getting my 4 quid .
The rules on the board are
£4 aday and £1 for a extra rod
keep nets allowd for fish upto 2 lb
barbless hooks max size 10
all anglers must have landing net
no floating baits
no pea nuts, no hemp, no bollies, no trout pellets, no night fishing, no ground bait.
the owner also said that when the caravaners are there if the leave their stuff on a peg over night and they aren't on the peg and you want that peg then move there stuff as you arent allowd to leave stuff on pegs to save them .
